“Ixtal is known for its control of elemental magic, was one of the first independent nations that joined forces with the shurimane empire Truthfully, the Ixtali culture is much more ancient, it was responsible for the rise of civilizations like the Buhru, the ancient Helia and the ascetics Targonians. Besides their participation in the western diaspora, they likely had a significant role in creating the first Ascendant. The Ixtali mages survived The Void, and later the Darkin distancing themselves of the surrounding kingdoms, using the wildlife the was around them as a shield. Although much was lost, they committed themselves to preserve what is left. Now, isolated in a jungle for thousands of years, the sophisticated arcological city of Ixaocan keeps itself practicallyclean of outside influence. Having witnessed from afar the ruin of the Blessed Isles and the Runic Wars right after, the Ixtali see every other nation of Runeterra as beginners and frauds, using their powerful magic to keep any outsiders away from them.”

Secluded deep in the wilderness of eastern Shurima, the sophisticated arcology-city of Ixaocan remains mostly free of outside influence. Having witnessed from afar the ruination of the Blessed Isles, and the softening of Buhru culture, the Ixtali view the other factions of Runeterra as little more than upstarts and pretenders, and use their powerful elemental magic to keep any intruders at bay.

When creating a character from this region, you gain the following traits:

Languages. Ixtali (you can also ask GM for the possibility of you knowing the Ancient Shurimane language)

Skill. Choose one between: Acrobatics, Arcana, Athletics, Deception, Insight, Nature, Perception, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, or Survival.

Activity. Choose two proficiencies from the following options: A martial weapon or a minor craft

Uma Fronteira Inexplorada

Quem está fora das fronteiras ixtalenses sabe muito pouco sobre a história da região. Ao longo dos anos, incontáveis expedições de Noxus, Águas de Sentina e, mais recentemente, do Clube de Exploradores de Piltover mergulharam na floresta em busca de tesouros misteriosos ou novas reivindicações territoriais... apenas para desaparecerem sem deixar o menor rastro.

Ixaocan

Na verdade, Ixtal não é a floresta sem habitantes que muitos imaginam. Longe de olhares indiscretos e dedos gananciosos, as vastas arcologias do Ixaocan permanecem escondidas e seguras pelas mais vastas florestas tropicais. A arcologia cardeal, sede da casta governante Yun Tal, já existia antes mesmo que os antigos shurimanes erguessem seu primeiro Disco Solar.

A Cidade oculta dos ixtalenses. Muito mais antiga do que a maioria dos forasteiros jamais poderia imaginar, suas grandes arcologias não são totalmente habitats nem escolas de magia, mas algo entre os dois.

Domínio Sobre o Reino Material

As arcologias estão conectadas pela intersecção de linhas de poder. Cada uma representa uma forma ou disciplina específica da magia elemental. As maiores abrigam dezenas de milhares de profissionais ixtalenses, com uma hierarquia social baseada no tempo dedicado aos estudos, aumentando sua progressão rumo ao domínio supremo.

Conhecimento Esotérico

Quanto mais alguém se afasta da arcologia cardeal, mais especializados e prestigiosos serão os domínios. No alto das montanhas, magos dessa arcologia relativamente pequena combinaram seus conhecimentos sobre fogo, pedra e magnetismo para extraírem metais preciosos da terra, criando sofisticadas formas com simples gestos.

Os Dragões Elementais

Curiosamente, as ruínas abandonadas e espalhadas por toda Ixtal abrigam um número surpreendente de dragões. Essas criaturas apavorantes não lutam ao lado dos mortais desde os últimos dias da guerra de Shurima contra o Vazio. Agora, em sua maior parte, parecem satisfeitas por serem deixadas em paz.
