For the duration of the spell, you will know if there is a celestial, elemental, fey, fiend, undead, or voidborn creature within 30 feet of your reach, as well as its location. Likewise, you will know if there is a place or object within 30 feet of your range that has been magically consecrated or desecrated.
The spell can pass through most barriers, but is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or earth.
