Character classes are rules which detail what a character can do, what its abilities are, and what kind of resources it has access to due to its origin or training. In Runeterra classes represent, in a way, your place in the world as well as your role, you can be a combatant, an inventor, a wizard exploring the powers of magic, among an immense number of options.
Character classes are schemes  that detail what a character can do, what their abilities are, and what kind of resources they have access to through their background or training.


Just like the Origins in the World of Runeterra, Classes presented here are different from other books, they have similarities with the 5th edition of the D&D Player's Handbook, but are very different in general.
For Runeterra, classes represent your place in the world as well as your function, you can be a combatant, an inventor, a mage exploring the powers of magic, among a huge number of options.


There are a total of eleven basic classes in Runeterra, each one of them having some archetypes tuned to the reality of the world in general. Although you can create a Nature Acolyte in Noxus, you would hardly survive being a non-noble Arcane in Demacia.
As with Origins in the Runeterra Universe, the Classes presented here are different from those in other books, they have similarities to classes in the 5th edition D&D Player's Handbook, but are quite different overall.
