You channel your own life energy, while channeling you cannot perform Attack actions or spells that have a cast time of 1 action. For each turn you spend channeling this spell, you take 1d6 unmitigated damage at the end of each of your turns. After channeling this spell for at least 1 turn, you can create a 15-foot burst area around you. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d6 piercing damage and 3d6 necrotic damage for each turn you spent channeling this spell. In addition, you recover half of necrotic damage dealt.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell by expending mana points equal to a spell of 4th level or higher, necrotic damage increases by 1d6 for each spell level above 3rd. When cast as a spell of 5th level or higher, this spell's piercing damage becomes slashing.
