Chireans
The Chireans are originally from Zaun, humanoids with features that resemble bats and who tend to be curious, agile and intelligent. As a general rule, they tend to have an immense appreciation for technology, gears and all paraphernalia that generates or converts energy into activities, in short, machinery.
They are native to Zaun, where they are most commonly found, and have a strong sense of community, enjoying interacting and relating to other humanoids, not caring much about distinctions of origin, although they are wary of the Piltovans.
Below and Above
It is not known exactly when, but the origin divided into two main lineages, the small and restless Nocti and the proud Fulgor. Although they are very similar in their physical features, they are clearly distinguished by their height and the size of their eyes.
While the Fulgor adapted to life on the surface, even developing their vocal apparatus and being able to speak humanoid languages, the Nocti remained deep in the fissures of Zaun, with greater adaptation to the dark and even maintaining a limited vocal apparatus for humanoid languages.
It is common to find the Chireans of the Fulgor Colony on the streets of Zaun, and one of their main traits is their great loyalty to those who matter to them. Although the Nocti keep a low profile from the day-to-day affairs of Zaun, it is not uncommon to find them in dark alleys listening to loud music with young humans and other people.
The Chirean language
The Chireans have their own unique language, practically impossible to be learned by other humanoids of other origins, mainly because it is composed of ultra and infrasound, with few sounds within the normal audible spectrum of humanoids.
This characteristic makes it possible for them to communicate very precisely even over great distances in a discreet manner, unnoticed by most other intelligent creatures. This creates a very efficient communication network that is unknown to most.
Appearance
The Chireans are humanoids with grayish skin and a pair of really large ears that resemble those of bats. Their eyes are large and a bright green, almost luminous, quite expressive and showing a lot of life.

Colonies
Nocti
The Noctis Colony is made up of short Chireans, they normally do not wander into well-lit places and prefer very dark places, not integrating so easily with the rest of the surface population and very well-lit environments.
They usually carry a pair of gloves to protect their skilled hands and fingers, as well as clothing made from scraps of fabric, although they like to personalize their clothes. They always carry a bag with screws, gears, tools and other things that might come in handy.
Normally, every nocti sighted carries at least two devices, a stylized mask that allows them to have better coexistence on the surface and a tool, normally a Chirean adjustable wrench, which they consider an invaluable, indispensable and extremely important object.
Size: The average height of the Chirean Noctis is between 1.3 and 1.6 meters while their weight normally ranges between 40 and 80 kilos. Their size is small or medium.
Mute: Noctis are not able to speak languages other than Chirean, which is a language formed by small simple sounds and infrasound, their vocal apparatus does not allow them to speak humanoid languages although they can read, write and understand them.
Sensitivity: Noctis have eyes that are particularly sensitive to bright, sudden flashes of light, and are also more susceptible to toxins and gases that affect the respiratory system. This sensitivity gives them disadvantage on saves tied to bright light and glare, and saves against the Intoxicated condition from respiratory sources. On the other hand, they gain an additional 60 feet of darkvision.
Technicians: Noctis are extremely skilled with technologies and crafts, you gain proficiency in Technology, choose one of the following skills between Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand or Stealth to gain proficiency, or specialty if you already have the proficiency and have proficiency with a Craft of your choice.
Improvisers: Chireans are not particularly skilled with common weapons, but they can extract great potential from using common tools (wrenches, hammers, etc.) as improvised weapons. You are proficient in attacks made with common tools, and the damage dealt by improvised weapons increases by one on the damage scale, usually applying the appropriate ability modifier to the damage in addition to your proficiency bonus.
Fulgor
The colony of the Fulgors is formed by Chireans of similar stature to humans, they are more adapted to life on the surface and in bright places, being able to communicate normally through speech using any humanoid language they know.
Fulgors are very protective of their Nocti brethren, especially as they are displaced from the larger social milieu and mortal society. While Fulgors have adapted to this society and have been accepted, they are aware that their brethren's exotic behavior is not always well understood.
Their eyes, although smaller than those of the nocti, have immense acuity, only losing a little of the ability to see in the dark, but giving them a kind of natural aim, which, together with their infrasound emission and large ears, give them superior spatial perception.
Size: The average height of the Chireans of the Fulgor colony is between 1.5 and 2 meters while their weight normally ranges between 60 and 120 kilos. Their size is average.
Precision: Fulgors have extreme precision in their actions, thanks to their superior spatial perception, receiving half of their proficiency bonus as a bonus on attacks made with ranged or finesse weapons.
Geolocation: The Fulgors are able to emit a sound inaudible to other creatures, detecting shapes and obstacles within a 60-foot radius, even in total darkness. This ability lasts 1 minute and can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
