Fórmulas for the Mason Craft

The results of the Mason craft formulas are usually called Buildings. Many of these buildings can be expanded without changing their types, which changes their cost and production time.

Expanding Buildings

A Building has proportions of height, width and area, in addition to having its own AC and Life Points, each formula defines a minimum value and proportion for the building in question, which can be expanded following the order below:

  • Area: Some buildings can have their area expanded, increasing the value by 50% of the initial value divided by the initial number of floors. The area cannot become more than four times the initial area. Example: A tower has a starting value of 60,000 gp and 3 stories as a base, with an area of 15 by 15 feet. Expanding that area by 15 feet (making it 30x15) increases its value by 20,000 gp.
  • Floors: Some buildings can have their number of floors increased, increasing the value by 20% of the initial value plus the additional value of its area for each additional floor. Each floor is 10 feet high. Example: A tower that has had its area increased by 15x15 feet has a value of 80,000 gp (60,000 gp of the initial value + 20,000 gp of the area increase), so adding a floor increases the value by 16,000 gp.
  • Width: Some buildings can have their width increased, increasing their value by 20% of the initial value plus the additional value of their area for each time the width is increased. Each increase adds 1 hit die to the building. Example: A castle has a starting value of 500,000 gp and the 4-foot width of its walls can be increased, doing so increases the cost by 100,000 feet to have walls 10 feet wide with 6d10 Hit Points.
