Character Details

What are the most striking and memorable details about your character? Your appearance will probably be the first thing that other players at the table will interact with, or perhaps it will be your name. Think about these details and describe your character.

Name

What was the name given to your character, by what name is he known? The name can also contain nicknames, titles included, in the Origins Chapter there are some examples of names for members of that origin. Spend some time thinking about it, even if you are choosing it from a list, this name may very well not be the one by which you will be known in the future after exploring forests and finding treasures that will make you known for your exploits and adventures.

Gender

Humanoid species are typically based on a binary gender pattern, being female and male, you can create your characters choosing their gender, whether binary or not, without them receiving additional bonuses or disadvantages for it. Gender identity, however, is extremely broader, being a way of describing your character's expression as well as their behavior. Homosexuality and heterosexuality are equally common in Runeterra, in addition to many other orientations.

Your identification with these concepts will vary depending on the importance you give them and will add an additional layer of interpretation. You could very well play a man who expresses himself in a feminine way and yet is attracted to women, or even a Minotaur woman who is the head of a clan where polygamous marriage is common. This choice is entirely up to you and may reflect a choice you want to make in the game.

Height and Weight

It is interesting to use the default height and weight of the origin as a basis for defining the height and weight of your character, however, you can also use this randomly through the Random Height and Weight table. The values of your abilities can be another basis for you to define this, a strong character is not necessarily very tall, but can be too. A character with a high constitution may just have good health, not necessarily being stocky.

The definition of random values is done by rolling dice, adding or subtracting the value obtained from the base value. Remember that these values should not change easily, reflecting a real biological aspect, but even so, as this is a world of magic, do not be surprised if you see a Yordle over 3 meters tall, throwing pieces of a house in combat.

Random Height and Weight
Origin Base Height Base Weight Height Modifier Weight Modifier
Human 142 cm 55 kg +6d10 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Anthroplantæ
Arboreal 182 cm 112 kg +7d10 cm x (2d10/5) kg
Floral 132 cm 48 kg +6d6 cm x (1d6/5) kg
Construct
Brutal 182 cm 98 kg +6d8 cm x (2d8/5) kg
Envoy 150 cm 57 kg +6d6 cm x (2d6/5) kg
Numble 135 cm 45 kg +6d6 cm x (2d6/5) kg
Half Dragon 142 cm 87 kg +6d8 cm x (2d6/5) kg
Minotaur 176 cm 92 kg +6d6 cm x (2d8/5) kg
Troll 282 cm 142 kg +6d12 cm x (2d10/5) kg
Vastaya
Fauhwoon 145 cm 55 kg +6d8 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Kiilash 147 cm 70 kg +6d10 cm x (2d6/5) kg
Lhotlan 145 cm 55 kg +6d8 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Marai 137 cm 62 kg +6d8 cm x (2d6/5) kg
Oovi-kat 142 cm 45 kg +6d6 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Otrrani 145 cm 53 kg +6d10 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Shimon 145 cm 57 kg +6d8 cm x (2d4/5) kg
Yordle 48 cm 18 kg +6d4 cm x (1d4/5) kg

An example would be Jorden, a human with a height of 1.42 meters plus 6d10 centimeters would roll 6d10 and, getting a total of 31, it means that Jorden is 1.73 meters tall (1.42 + 0.31 = 1.73). Keeping the same roll of 31 and multiplying by 2d4, divided by 5 kilos, Jorden gets from the 2d4 a 3. With this, Jorden weighs 18.6 kg more (31 x 3 ÷ 5 = 18.5) in addition to the base value of 55 kg, reaching a total of 73.6 kg.

Other Physical Characteristics

Your age, hair color, eyes and skin should reflect your story, you can add other touches like tattoos, visible scars or even a different trait caused by magic as unique and memorable aspects of your character.
