When you or a creature you can see is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to cast the spell Enlarge/Reduce on the target of the attack. When you do so, the target of the spell gains the benefits of Enlarge, but the additional damage dealt by the spell becomes 1d8 instead of 1d4, and the target gains a shield of temporary hit points equal to your Arcanist level + your Attack modifier. Intelligence, this shield absorbs damage from the attack received, and if it exceeds the shield's maximum, the damage reaches the creature's hit points normally.
