This spell is a simple magic trick that novice spellcasters use to practise. You can create one of the following magical effects within the spell’s range:

• You create an instantaneous, harmless sensory effect, such as a shower of sparks, a gust of wind, ghostly musical notes, or a distinctive odour.
• You cause a candle, torch, or small fire to be immediately lit or extinguished.
• You instantly clean or dirty an object no larger than a cube with 1-foot sides.
• You cool, heat or temper a cube of up to 1 foot per side made of non-living material for 1 hour.
• You colour an object or surface, or cause a small mark or symbol to appear on it for 1 hour.
• You create a non-magical trinket or an illusory image that can fit in your hand and lasts until the end of your next turn.

If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to three of its non-instant effects active at the same time, and any of these effects can be dispelled with an action.
