Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes

A magical darkness spreads out from a point within the spell’s range to fill a sphere with a 15-foot radius for the duration of the spell. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision cannot see through this darkness, and non-magical light cannot illuminate it.

If the chosen point is on an object you are holding, or one that is not being used or carried, the darkness will emanate from the object and move with it. Completely covering the source of the darkness with an opaque object, such as a bowl or a helmet, blocks the darkness.

If any part of the spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.
