For the duration of the spell, you can use your bonus action to make a ranged spell attack against a creature you can see within 80 feet, dealing 3d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier energy damage on a hit. These attacks have a +1 bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using mana points equivalent to a 5th or 6th-level spell, the bonus increases to +2. When cast as a 7th or 8th level spell, the bonus increases to +3, and when cast as a 9th level spell, the bonus increases to +4. When cast as a 5th level spell or higher, the damage of this spell becomes runic.
