"Drip, drop, drip, drop, the blood splashes down,
Swim, swim, comes the swarm, better now to drown,

Snip, snap, go the teeth, and we all scream,
To the deep, off we sleep, for forever dreams!"

– Bilgewater nursery rhyme

Despite their small size, Snapjaws are among the most lethal sea creatures in Runeterra. These small carnivorous fish from the seas of Nilgewater, in addition to being voracious, act in groups, tearing victims apart with their sharp teeth in a matter of seconds.

On its own, an Afianha poses no major threat—it is even used as an ingredient by galley cooks, providing a decent source of protein on the high seas—but if an abyssal fisherman spots one while entering the water, his remaining lifespan depends entirely on how quickly he can get back out, for where there is one, a school is surely nearby.
