Characteristics
Amphibious. The Gromp can breathe air and water.
Keen Hearing. The Gromp has advantage on Perception checks related to hearing.
Poisonous Skin. When a creature touches the Gromp without protection, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, becoming Stunned for 1 minute on a failure. A creature affected by this ability can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns; on a success, this effect ends and the creature becomes immune to this effect for 24 hours.
Standing Leap. The Gromp's long jump is up to 20 feet and its high jump is up to 10 feet, with or without a running start.
Attacks
Paralyzing Poison. Ranged Natural Weapon Attack, +5 to hit, 20 ft. range, one target. On a hit, deals 9 (3d4+2) Poison damage. Additionally, if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw against the poison or become Paralyzed until cured. Every minute, the creature must repeat the saving throw, reducing its maximum hit points by 4 (1d8) on a failure. This reduction lasts until cured. The creature dies if the poison reduces its maximum hit points to 0.
Tongue Lash. Melee Natural Weapon Attack, +5 to hit, 15 ft. reach, one target. On a hit, deals 17 (3d8+3) Bludgeoning damage and the target becomes Grappled (DC 13 to escape). Until the grapple ends, the target is Restrained, and the Gromp can't attack another target with Tongue Lash or Paralyzing Poison.
Swallow. The Gromp makes a bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it's grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed and the grapple ends. The swallowed target becomes Blinded and Restrained, has total cover against attacks and other effects from outside the Gromp, and takes 13 (3d8) Acid damage at the start of each of its turns. The Gromp can only have one enemy swallowed at a time. If the Gromp dies, the swallowed creature is no longer Restrained and can escape the corpse using 5 feet of movement, exiting Prone.
