Vitriolic Herald

You conjure a creature made purely of venom and acid that exudes toxins. This creature appears at a point of your choice within range of the spell; it is 40 feet long and 15 feet wide and tall. It exhales a 15-foot cloud around itself that spreads quickly, bending around corners. It persists for the duration or until a strong wind disperses the cloud. Its area counts as heavily obscured.

When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on its turn or starts its turn there, that creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, an affected creature takes 5d6 intoxicating damage, 5d6 antimonic damage, and gains the Petrified condition. Creatures are affected even if they hold their breath or don’t need to breathe.

The cloud moves 10 feet away from the creature at the start of each of its turns, sliding along the ground’s surface. The vapors are heavier than air, settling into the lowest levels of the terrain, even sinking into openings.

At the start of each of its turns, the creature creates a new cloud.
