You hurl a dart of deep orange flame toward a creature within range of the spell. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 fire damage and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the target catches fire and becomes Scorched, taking 1d6 fire damage at the start of each of its own turns. Each creature that tries to put out the flames from this spell or comes into contact with an affected creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes Scorched.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell by spending Mana points equal to a 3rd-level spell or higher, the initial damage and the per-turn damage increase by 1d6 for each spell level above 2nd. When cast as a 5th-level spell or higher, this spell’s damage becomes incinerating.
