A wall of molten rock rises from nowhere at a point of your choice within range of the spell. The wall is 10 feet thick and made up of ten 10-foot-by-10-foot panels. Each panel must be contiguous with at least one other panel. Alternatively, you can create 10-foot-by-20-foot panels that are only 5 feet thick.

If the wall passes through a space occupied by a creature when it appears, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes trapped within the wall, taking 4d6 incinerating damage. On a success, the creature moves to an unoccupied space within 5 feet.

The wall can take any shape you desire; it doesn’t need to be vertical or rest on any stable foundation. It must, however, merge with and be solidly supported by existing rock. At the start of your next turn, the wall solidifies. You can then use this spell to create a bridge across a chasm or to create a ramp.

Creatures trapped within the wall when it solidifies must make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, they remain trapped in the wall and become subject to the rules for Suffocation. On a success, the creature frees itself, moving to an unoccupied space within 5 feet.

If you create a span longer than 20 feet, you must reduce the size of each panel by half to create supports. You can roughly shape the wall to create battlements, crenellations, and so on.

The wall is an object made of stone that can be damaged and eventually broken. Each panel has AC 15 and 50 hit points for every 1 foot of thickness. Reducing a panel’s hit points to 0 destroys it and may cause connected panels to collapse, at the GM’s discretion.

If you maintain concentration on this spell for its entire duration, the wall becomes permanent and can’t be dispelled. Otherwise, the wall disappears when the spell ends.
