- Range
- 30 feet
- Components
- V, S
- Duration
- Concentration, up to 1 minute
You fire a violent arcane charge in the form of a gust that strikes up to 3 targets you can see within range of the spell. This cold blast instantly condenses into an ice shell, pinning the creatures’ legs to the ground. Creatures more than 10 feet above the ground can’t be targeted by this spell.
Struck creatures must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 9d6 glacial damage and become Restrained. The shell that surrounds the creatures is immune to cold, glacial, fire, incinerating, luminary, lunar, radiant, and solar damage. For the duration, the creatures remain Restrained, and as long as concentration is maintained, the ice shell holds; if concentration is lost, the shell lasts for 5 more turns and then dissolves.
This shell has 60 hit points and 17 AC. Blows dealt against the shell that break it deal the excess damage to the target being freed. Once the creature’s shell is broken, it is no longer Restrained.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell by spending Mana points equal to a 7th-level spell or higher, the glacial damage increases by 1d6 for each spell level above 7th.
