You conjure a powerful blast at the target, which spreads flames throughout its body. Choose a creature you can see within the spell’s range. It must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 7d6 burning damage and is Scorched for the spell’s duration, taking 3d6 burning damage at the start of each of its turns. On a success, it takes half damage and is not Scorched.
A creature Scorched by this spell can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a success, the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell by expending mana points equal to a spell of 6th level or higher, the initial damage increases by 1d6 for each spell level above 5th.
