Licensing
Originally created as Runeterra RPG and published on December 6, 2018, the system was renamed Runarcana in 2020. Runarcana’s use of the world of Runeterra and rules derived from Dungeons & Dragons is made possible by three distinct foundations: Riot Games’ Legal Jibber Jabber policy, the Nexus System Development Document, and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license applicable to the SRD material identified below.
Riot Games Legal Jibber Jabber
Runarcana was created under Riot Games’ Legal Jibber Jabber policy and uses resources belonging to Riot Games.
Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor this project. Runarcana is a fan project and has no official affiliation with Riot Games.
Nexus
Nexus is the Runarcana RPG System Development Document. It explains the system’s purpose and goals, development guidelines, ways to collaborate, and information for creating derivative material.
The complete document is available at Runarcana — Nexus.
